James Perolls
James created a book called "Sunnyside" alongside Tallulah Fontaine. Their book is a mix of photography and illustration that tells a story as it goes along in sequence. What I love about James' work is the fact that he can evoke a story in a single image. I love the colour scheme in his photos, he uses a lot of reds, oranges and pinks, but will add contrast by adding cool tones such as blues and greens. The lighting is also strong on the focal point of his images, it tells the viewer where to look. I also admire the mood that is portrayed, his style is very vintage and has a very nostalgic feel and he emotion behind that is what captures the audience.

Tallulah Fonatine
Tallulah has a very simplistic yet carefully crafted look to her illustration. I like the fact that she will use watercolour and gouache for her main painting to give that traditional look and then will finish off her designs digitally to neaten everything up and give final details. You get a strong sense of tone and mood from her illustrations which is something I want to convey in my own art. I like her use of colour too, she will use a lot of cool tone and then a small amount of warmer tones to make that area stand out.
