DEVELOPMENT "THE WANDERING SCHOLAR"

For these pieces I was experimenting with using the tarot card idea for the poster design. I tried various positions and designs of the characters and cards. As the Opera is called "The Wandering Scholar" I had an idea of the scholar climbing out of the cards to show a bit of the story of how he is free from the turmoil while the others are trapped in the story.

With these variations I layed out the characters in the style of a movie poster or tv drama as these forms of publicity are quite popular. I played around with the colour schemes and asked some of my peers which they preferred and the majority chose the one with the green background as the woman is the main focus and with this combination she stands out even more.
