I was able to develop the character even more and the outfit started to express a bit of his personality. Instead of a cape, which was asked for, I gave him a one strapped apron which I think works well with his body type and style, the cape was too overpowering and didn't fit the character. I also tried putting gloves but didn't feel that they were necessary. I kept the mask as I feel like this is a focal point for his face that I'd like to keep and a recognisable trait. One thing I learned about character design is to have focal points that are recognisable. For this character I think his main focus is on the eye mask, the one strap apron and the check chef trousers. I like the fact that he looks strong but approachable, and the smiling face gives him a warm presence. I have really enjoyed creating this character and wish to continue creating more characters like this in the future.
