Mathilde Cretier

I really love the style and shape of her work. Mathilde's style is all about the forms of the silhouette, she loves to experiment with bold and contrasting colours to evoke a strong visual message to the viewer. She also likes to experiment with using negative space in her art to help visualise imagery without it being shown. Following her work and style has helped me develop my own style too.

Alexandria's art is full of detail and careful design elements. I admire the way that she builds levels in each piece by separating the background from the foreground images. She also uses a wide variety of shapes in her work, depending on the mood of the card, the shape difference changes. Looking at her work of tarot cards made me think of how I could incorporate that idea im my own project.
